MTG's March of the Machine Product Lineup 

Magic: The Gathering announced that the March of the Machine set will be released on April 21, 2023. March of the Machine features the dramatic conclusion of the Phyrexian story that all began with Dominaria United. The hype of this set started quickly after Wizards of the Coast released their first spoilers. Let’s go over what products to expect in Magic’s latest set. 


First, we will start with some basic information about Magic’s latest set. March of the Machine is a standard set featuring Collector Booster Boxes, Set Booster Boxes and Draft Booster Boxes, Jumpstart boxes, Prerelease packs, and Bundles. March of the Machine officially releases on April 21st, 2023. The set storyline follows Elesh Norn as she expands her reach to bring the New Phyrexia to the other planes.

March of the Machine Collector Booster Box 

As with other regular Magic: The Gathering sets, the March of the Machine set will include Collector Booster boxes. The contents of these boxes include: 

  • 12 March of the Machine MTG Collector Booster packs
  • 15 Magic cards + 1 foil token in each booster
  • 1–3 Extended-Art cards and a legion of other special treatments in every pack
  • 5 cards of rarity Rare or higher in every pack
  • 10–12 Traditional Foil cards in every pack 

March of the Machine Draft Booster Box 

The March of the Machine set will also feature a Draft Booster Boxes. The contents of each Draft Booster Box includes: 

  • 36 March of the Machine MTG Draft Booster packs
  • 15 Magic cards per booster
  • 1–2 cards of rarity Rare or higher in every pack

In addition to everything listed above, there is also a Traditional Foil card in 33% of March of the Machine Draft Booster packs.

March of the Machine Set Booster Box

The March of the Machine set will also feature a Set Booster Boxes. Each Set Booster Box includes: 

  • 30 March of the Machine Set Booster packs
  • 12 Magic: The Gathering cards per booster
  • 1–5 cards of rarity Rare or higher in every pack
  • Traditional Foil card and Art Card in every pack

In addition to everything above, March of the Machine Set Booster boxes also feature a card from “The List”—a special card from Magic's history—found in 25% of packs. You’ll also find a Traditional Foil Borderless Mythic Planeswalker in <1% of set booster packs. Lastly, there is a Foil-Stamped Signature Art Card that replaces an Art Card in 10% of March of the Machine set booster packs.

March of the Machine Jumpstart Booster Box

Jumpstart boxes will also be included in the March of the Machine release. Each Jumpstart box includes:

As with other Magic: The Gathering sets, March of the Machine will have Prerelease Packs. Each Prerelease Pack includes:

  • 1 new Mythic Rare card
  • 1 MTG Arena code card (only available in select regions)
  • 1 deck box
